I've had this piece of wood waiting in the wings for just such a project. I love the contrast between the wood and the steel.

Full description
This lamp has a lovely vintage/industrial feel/look to it. A piece of (dark stained) Walnut framed with steel makes up the weighty base (this isn't going to get easily knocked over by a passing cat!). Two steel rods run up the inside of a heavy duty spring to form the arm. A standard B22 bulb holder is hung on brown braided cable. It comes with the large led bulb, but you could fit a multitude of other options.
A toggle on/off switch is fitted into the base. All electric components are new and the correct fuse is fitted.
All of the steel is lacquered to ensure it will always look the same. It stands 47cm high.
