Hi, I'm Clive and I run Mindful Metal here in my small workshop under my house in South Devon.

After three decades of working in metal fabrication - everything from armour plating security vehicles to welding fuel tanks the size of swimming pools to building custom made motorcycles I've finally got the opportunity of my dream job - working from home!

I find I'm increasingly happy when I'm creating something special in my small workshop. Each piece is made by hand with love and care, with attention to detail. I get a enormous amount of satisfaction when a piece is finished - definitely worth the sweat (and sometimes blood) that goes into each item.

If you are looking for something a little different for your home or possibly a gift for someone special who's really tricky to buy for I may have something of interest. Most pieces incorporate a repurposed item of some kind (if it really fits). Some are scratch built entirely.

I'm just starting out here on Folksy but am planning on getting a new piece made each week, so please keep an eye out for what comes up next - and due to the organic way my mind works, even I don't quite know what it will be!
