A clock was on my radar once I'd started back on the tools and this sprocket fitted the bill perfectly.

Full description
This clock started life as a lightly used aluminium motorcycle rear sprocket. It just so happened to have the 12 holes so my mind was made up!
The sprocket was modified to fit on a slab of ally that I've machined to mimic the sprocket teeth.
A standard quartz movement is used. The clock has been tested for a week to ensure it works as intended. Could possible be a gift idea for that motorcycle nut you know (or of course yourself)? It measures 210mm in diameter. No one else will have one the same.
