TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. New treasures have arrived in the studio - each one hand-drawn, hand-printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.
The Easter Hare Collection is now live, hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal with a pocketful of seasonal stories. From Good Egg keepsakes to folklore-rich illustrations, these pieces are made for little explorers and lovers of springtime wonder.
Mother’s Day gifts are also available, including Finn’s Gift of Gloves - an illustration born from a childhood misunderstanding and shaped into a tale of innocence, friendship and folklore. Last orders for Mother’s Day is 7th March to ensure everything arrives in time.
Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment fresh magic lands in TasWood.
This little gift bag is inspired by Jack Valentine, Norfolk’s mysterious bringer of February surprises. For more than 200 years, he’s been known to creep up to doorsteps on Valentine’s Eve, knock, leave a parcel, and disappear into the night before anyone can catch him. Some families once celebrated the day more than Christmas, with handmade cards, sweets, shawls, and tiny treasures exchanged in secret.
When my sister and I were children, we’d race to the door after that knock — two little bags waiting for us, filled with pencils, sweets, and small delights. We never saw who left them. That mix of wonder, warmth, and playful mischief inspired my illustration of Jack ‘Rabbit’ Valentine, a hare‑hearted twist on the old legend.
This personalised bag is a way to keep that tradition alive — a tiny vessel for magic, ready for your own Valentine’s Eve surprises.

Full description
Add a sprinkle of Norfolk mischief to Valentine’s Eve with this Personalised Jack Valentine Linen Gift Bag - a smaller companion to my larger sack, perfect for tiny treasures, sweets, trinkets, or doorstep surprises left by the February gift-giver himself.
Each bag is hand printed in my Norfolk studio by me with a design inspired by the old tales:
a bold “Special Delivery” in Valentine Red,
“From Jack Valentine” in soft black,
your chosen name and initial in Valentine Red,
and my illustrated Jack ‘Rabbit’ Valentine - a long-eared, light-footed hare who brings a little magic wherever he hops, taken from my original ink and watercolour artwork. Placement of the hare may vary slightly depending on the initial, to ensure the best visual balance.
Crafted from a linen-look polyester blend, the bag has a lovely natural texture and a luxurious red velvet drawstring that cinches closed with a festive flourish. At 24.3 x 20cm, it’s just the right size for small gifts, stationery, chocolate hearts, or a handful of surprises waiting behind a mysterious knock.
If you’ve never met him before, Jack Valentine is Norfolk’s secretive February visitor - a folkloric figure who’s been leaving anonymous gifts on doorsteps for over two centuries. You’ll find more about his story in the Inspiration section, but this little bag is a charming way to begin your own family tradition.
