TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. As the seasons turn, new treasures are arriving in the studio — each one hand‑drawn, hand‑printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.
Mother’s Day gifts are now available, including Finn’s Gift of Gloves — an illustration born from a childhood misunderstanding, shaped into a tale of innocence, friendship and folklore. Ink, faerie details and soft watercolour washes bring the story to life, making it a meaningful choice for someone special.
The Easter Hare will be hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal very soon, carrying a pocketful of seasonal magic. The Easter Hare Collection will be available from the 23rd February, filled with story‑led keepsakes for little explorers.
Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment the Easter Hare’s surprises land in TasWood.
It all began with an illustration—ink, watercolour, and a whirlwind of bunting, Battenberg, and teacups mid-flight. The scene was sparked by my own Jack Russell, George (affectionately known as George Jack Rascal), whose zoomies and cheeky ways inspired a playful twist on the phrase Union Jack.
Originally imagined to mark King Charles’ Coronation—with a nod to Beth and Bluebell, the royal Jack Russells—the artwork soon tumbled into TasWood territory. What started as a regal moment became a joyful muddle of picnic chaos, canine capers, and a poem that ends with a rascal you can name yourself.
This mug celebrates the kind of mayhem only a small dog with a big personality can cause.

Full description
A mugful of mayhem, straight from TasWood.
This fine Bone China mug captures the moment summer’s grandest party was turned upside down—when teapots flew, Battenberg spun, and a certain Jack Russell tore through the bunting like a whirlwind in fur.
On the front: a full-colour print of my original ink & watercolour illustration, Union 'Jack', capturing the mayhem in motion.
On the reverse: my Union 'Jack' poem where you can optionally personalise the rascal’s name. Whether it’s Georgie, Pickle, or your own four-legged scamp, this mug is a celebration of joyful mischief and British charm.
Perfect for what we in Norfolk call 'Fourses'—a late afternoon tea break, traditionally taken in the harvest field.
