Full description
This stained glass hanging features the tiny but mighty wren, a bird well known for its powerful song. I’ve paired it with some vibrant rosehips, which I’ve always loved for their rich colour and elegant shape.
The wren is made with opaque variegated glass with painted details to bring out its warm tones and delicate markings, while the rosehips are formed with detailed wirework that gives the piece a lovely sense of structure.
The hanging looks beautiful in a window, and as some of the glass is opaque, this piece looks equally great on an interior wall. It’s a gentle, nature inspired piece that brings a cosy piece of the British countryside into any space.
The wire ring is approx 8 inches (20cm), and the wreath at its widest part is approx 11 inches (28cm) The wreath has a black satin hanging ribbon for easy display.
Each piece is individually handcrafted using the traditional copper foil method and finished with a rich black patina. I make each hanging to order and elements like the leaves are cut freehand so your hanging will be unique and may have subtle variations that add character and authenticity - just like the nature it is reflecting.
Please allow 3-5 days for me to handcraft your piece. Items are then dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you need your order sooner, just drop me a message, I'm more than happy to prioritise rush orders where possible.
