About this item
This elegant handcrafted stained glass White Stork wall or window hanging is inspired by the beautiful storks of the Knepp Estate in West Sussex, where these magnificent birds have recently been reintroduced to the UK. Each piece of glass is individually cut, shaped, and soldered by hand, creating a graceful representation of this iconic bird known for its poise and symbolism. Traditionally, storks are considered harbingers of hope, joy, and rebirth, making this artwork not just a decoration but a meaningful gift or a thoughtful addition to any home. The white glass body, smoky, textured wings and striking orange beak capture the stork's distinctive plumage, while the circular frame adds a clean, modern finish. Hung by a simple ribbon, it's ready to display in a window, on a wall, or to be given as a unique gift for nature lovers, bird lovers or white stork enthusiasts. The wire ring is approx 8 inches (20cm). Each piece is individually handcrafted using the traditional copper foil method. I make each hanging to order and as such it will be unique and may have subtle variations that add character and authenticity - just like the nature it is reflecting. Please allow 3-5 days for me to handcraft your piece. Items are then dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you need your order sooner, just drop me a message, I'm more than happy to prioritise rush orders where possible.

My niece works with the White Stork Project at the Knepp Estate in West Sussex, and she was the one who introduced me to these huge, magnificent birds. I was lucky enough to see them in their new habitat and watch them flying overhead. Seeing them up close—back in the UK after so many years—really stuck with me, and that’s what inspired me to make this piece.
Contains lead solder which is perfectly safe to handle, but is toxic if ingested in large quantities. As a precaution please wash hands after handling and keep away from children and pets.
What buyers say about Flint & Fern Glass Studio
I ordered the snowdrop stained glass, and Caz was kind enough to rush the order so it would arrive in time for my mum's birthday! We're very very happy with it, and will be ordering again soon.
Absolutely love this - the quality is amazing, the little robin is so expressive and I was very tempted to keep it even though I’d bought it as a gift! The recipient was very pleased so thank you. I will definitely be back!
