This piece began in 2021, when the world slowed and I returned to watercolour. It’s a tribute to our terriers—Earl, Red, and Georgie Jack Rascal—and the festive nights spent in Thatched Cottage, watching the world from the bay window. The poem came later, stitched with memory and mischief, echoing the rhythm of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. It’s the heart of my second Christmas Collection, and a celebration of the dogs who shaped our seasons.
