TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. As the seasons turn, new treasures are arriving in the studio — each one hand‑drawn, hand‑printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.
Mother’s Day gifts are now available, including Finn’s Gift of Gloves — an illustration born from a childhood misunderstanding, shaped into a tale of innocence, friendship and folklore. Ink, faerie details and soft watercolour washes bring the story to life, making it a meaningful choice for someone special.
The Easter Hare will be hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal very soon, carrying a pocketful of seasonal magic. The Easter Hare Collection will be available from the 23rd February, filled with story‑led keepsakes for little explorers.
Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment the Easter Hare’s surprises land in TasWood.
This illustration began as a secret commission — a gift from my cousin to her mum, my Auntie Barbara. All year she asked, “When are you going to paint some robins?” — not knowing her very own pair were already waiting, tucked amongst the brambles. I named them John & Barbara Robin, after my uncle and auntie. John, who we sadly lost, and Barbara, who received the painting at our girls’ Christmas party — with laughter, hugs, and a few happy tears. Their story became the heart of my festive collection: Winter is Warmer with Love — a season of gifts, memory, and quiet joy.

Full description
A tribute wrapped in feathers and love.
This limited edition A4 print features John & Barbara Robin — originally painted as a secret commission for my Auntie Barbara. It’s more than a winter scene; it’s a story of love, memory, and quiet magic.
Meet John & Barbara Robin. John runs a Norfolk accountancy firm called Larkwing Robin, with his business partner Nelson Skylark. He’s a keen runner, loves a good hike (especially if there’s a pub en route), and never misses a Manchester City match. Barbara is a stay-at-home mum to their two chicks. She hikes with John, but her ‘me time’ is spent reading, crocheting, and sipping pink gin with her best friend Eva Fox. They’re well known in the village and often found at the local social club, where Barbara’s a dab hand at darts.
Printed from my original Indian ink and watercolour illustration, each A4 print is individually signed, hand-numbered, and hand-embossed as a mark of authenticity. Only 250 are available, each accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
