Inspired by my love of books, vintage clothing and dancing, my creations are often one off pieces, sewn, crocheted or crafted with paper or clay and filled with imagination (and sometimes lavender!)
Although it says I post within 3 days, I do try and post within 24hrs whenever possible.
Pretty fabric that just called out to become a handy tote bag. The knowledge that I have so many bags that just aren't strong enough to carry a load of books prompted me to create something that would fulfil this need for others who like to buy and carry lots of books!

Jars of preserved fruit and bowls of citrus with the occasional vase of dried herbs and flowers decorate the main fabric of this bag.
Shades of blue and grey give this heavy duty bag contemporary look and is ideal for taking to the market or the local shops, carrying your craft projects, filling with the necessities for a day out. Great as a gift, (for a teacher who carries lots of books perhaps?) or keep for yourself, this bag should last you many years.
French seams, top stitching and a continuous fabric base help make this cotton and linen-denim fabric bag nice and strong. Inside I stitched a small tag that can be used to clip a keyring onto for your keys or supermarket trolly tag. The bag can be closed with the button fastening and this has been stitched on with elastic thread and the hoop is made from crocheted elastic thread.
This handy tote is 13" x 16". The length, including the handles, from top to bottom is 26", perfect for carrying over your shoulder.(Total length of the handles are 22")
If you are shorter than about 5ft4 then this may scrape the floor if you carry it by hand!
To keep the fabric looking its best, and the elastic stretchy, wash on a gentle cycle 30. Iron inside out, medium heat.
