Vintage inspired and a little bit different.

Welcome to Jinkies Vintage Revival.

My name originated many years ago when I was making an eclectic mix of gothic chokers, tartan frogs, owl keyrings and earrings.. Jinkies meant 'an exclamation of surprise' and Kookie meant 'something a little bit different or strange'. The name stuck but my tastes changed and broadened as did my creative endeavours. Jinkies 'Vintage Revival' came about as I wanted to share my love of the familiar and cosy, things that evoke memories of grandparents visits and old films, items that resonate with the desire to hold onto a simpler time before fast fashion and twenty-four hour connectivity. I began making bags from old records, bowties and crocheted headbands. And, as time went on I added greeting cards and tote bags to my repertoire, pretty things for the house and rockabilly inspired hair accessories.
Through my various metamorphosis however, has been my desire to create things that will be loved and gifted to special people who will treasure what you chose for them, and hopefully handed down as heirlooms.

Nowadays, I seem to have a few inspiring themes I always return to; books, mid century design, and what I suppose some would call cosy-core!

I make and create with fabric, yarn and paper from my craft room based in East Yorkshire, powered by cups of tea and Jane Austen adaptations, and can sometimes be found at various craft fairs around East Yorkshire with my friend Rachel who crochets wonderful shawls and home-wares who goes by the name of 'A Little Pot Of Yarn'. My workspace is kept as clean and tidy as possible, though it can get rather messy when I have multiple projects on the go!
My space and home is smoke/vape and pet free and I endeavour to work as sustainably and earth friendly as possible.
