TasWood is waking to birdsong, brighter skies, and the first rustle of spring. New treasures have arrived in the studio - each one hand-drawn, hand-printed, and rooted in quiet woodland magic.
The Easter Hare Collection is now live, hopping through the Forgotten Tracks Post Portal with a pocketful of seasonal stories. From Good Egg keepsakes to folklore-rich illustrations, these pieces are made for little explorers and lovers of springtime wonder.
Mother’s Day gifts are also available, including Finn’s Gift of Gloves - an illustration born from a childhood misunderstanding and shaped into a tale of innocence, friendship and folklore. Last orders for Mother’s Day is 7th March to ensure everything arrives in time.
Favouriting my shop is the best way to catch new arrivals, seasonal stories, and the moment fresh magic lands in TasWood.
This basket is inspired by the older spring folklore of the Easter Hare. Long before the modern Easter Bunny appeared, German storytellers spoke of Oschter Haws - a magical hare who brought bright eggs to welcome spring. In the 19th century, Jacob Grimm linked this tradition to Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of dawn and renewal, weaving the hare into centuries of seasonal celebration. It’s that gentler, more ancient story that guides my work, which is why I have illustrated a hare rather than a bunny.
My artwork grows from nature: soft woodland browns, fresh greens, and the textures of early spring. From that world comes the Easter Hare in his rocking chair, tea beside him, carefully checking his Good Egg list. I wanted this basket to feel like a small piece of that folklore - practical for little hands, but also a keepsake that can return year after year as part of your family’s Easter traditions.

Full description
Make your Easter egg hunt magical with this personalised Easter basket, hand printed with my original Easter Hare illustration. Before the modern Easter Bunny appeared, spring folklore told of the Easter Hare - a creature said to deliver bright eggs to well-behaved children. I have illustrated a hare rather than a bunny to honour that older, more enchanting tradition.
This soft linen Easter egg hunt basket measures 24cm x 30cm, perfectly sized for little hands. It features an easy-to-carry handle and playful spring-green hare ears for a charming, storybook feel. Each basket is personalised with an initial and the words:
“Name, You’re A Good Egg!”
A joyful message that makes it a thoughtful Easter gift for toddlers and children.
Every basket is hand printed in my Norfolk studio using my ink and watercolour artwork of the Easter Hare in his rocking chair with his Good Egg list and spotty teapot. The colours print beautifully onto the linen, creating a vibrant, high-quality finish.
Your basket also includes a copy of my poem The Tale of the Easter Hare, adding a little folklore to your family traditions.
Designed to be used year after year, this heirloom Easter basket is perfect for egg hunts, gifting, nursery décor, or filling with treats. A sweet keepsake that becomes part of your spring celebrations.
