Full description
Fields at Sunset is a piece of mounted textile art featuring a countryside scene at sunset. The sky is made from abstract print fabric in blue-green, yellow and white. I've added strips of golden-yellow and orange frayed sari silk, locks of orange-dyed fleece, and free-motion embroidery to the sky to give the impression of the sunset reflecting off the clouds. The fields are made from print fabrics in shades of green. The farthest field is bordered with a free-motion embroidered hedge and contains tiny hand-embroidered sheep. To the foreground I’ve added hand embroidered French knot flowers in pretty shades of yellow and orange. The piece is mounted on a square acid-free backing board and finished with a white aperture mount, and is ready to be framed. The artwork is supplied in a cellophane sleeve for protection.
This piece of original textile art would be perfect for someone who loves the British countryside and sunsets.

Mount - approx. 8 inches (20cm) square. Aperture/textile art – approx. 6 inches (15cm) square.
