A retro scene of love peace and joy - my upcycled fabric Christmas card has two people adorning a festive sign with holly leaves and berries. Made using pre-loved fabric and hand embellished with embroidery, ribbon and a button.
Blank inside for you to write your own message the card is perfect for Christmas, but can be used for a winter birthday or to send a hand written note.
This is part of my zero-waste range, where I use small offcuts of fabric to create beautiful little gifts.
The fabric is from a pre-loved duvet cover that I used to make some of my Christmas stockings. I fussy-cut the images from the off-cuts and back with thin wadding, before hand embroidering the little berries to make them stand out a little. The card is finished with a row of ribbon from my scrap bag, and a button from The Old Button's tin.
The fabric is mounted in a tri-fold aperture card in quality white cardstock, and comes with a matching envelope.
