Fields of Gold are a striking sight across Great Britain in the summer. A memory of hot sunny and carefree days.
Heavy watercolour paper was first painted in acrylic and then embroidered with French Knot stitch in different shades of yellow. The texture creates depth and movement drawing the viewer in to the unexpected embroidery.
A stunning and unique piece of art that's a bit different.
Fields of Gold is produced entirely by hand, no machine embroidery here.

Every piece of art I make is unique and produced by hand, often reflecting the seasons.
Double mounted in a grey frame.
Everything I make is inspired by nature, and the result maybe abstract or literal. I don't repeat work to maintain a style, I feel it's more important to let the inspiration dictate the direction each piece takes. I work with clay, fabric and thread, and found objects from the countryside and seashore.
Your purchase will be beautifully wrapped, and where possible, I use recycled packaging for the outer wrapping.
