I often use recycled packaging for posting to reduce my impact on the environment.

Sustainable gifts inspired by, or made from, nature.

Having worked for design and advertising agencies, I longed for a change of pace.
I am happiest creating, using my hands, working with thread, clay and natural objects found on my walks. I am inspired by nature and the textures found in nature. I am lucky to have countryside walks where I live, and often visit my parents who live on the coast.
What I make changes everyday.
Wrapping found rocks and pebbles with leather or cane is meditative, my mind solely occupied in creating the perfect wrapped stone following traditional Japanese methods.
I am self taught in embroidery, often stitching directly onto card which creates the textures that I love. I hope that the cards I make are framed for more permanent keepsakes.
Then I can work with mixed media, using clay, thread, fabric and found objects to create framed art always inspired by the countryside or coast.
My ‘studio’ is a table in my conservatory. I’m often kept company by Sweetie, a white dove, who patiently waits under the bird feeder for any seeds that come her way.
