The nozzle of this blowlamp was unsuited to housing a lampholder, so I adapted it to make a table lamp using the tank as a base and some brass tube salvaged from an old wall lamp. It’s come out quite nicely too; historic and quirky!

Full description
A distinctive steampunk style brass table lamp built around a brass 1 pint blowlamp tank. The British Burmos branded blowlamp arrived at my workshop with very heavy patina, most of which I have cleaned off – but left a little to show the age.
I removed the nozzle and fitted a brass ES lampholder on a curved brass tube and cleaned and polished the brass but have made no attempt to get a high polish or repair the dents and scratches that hark back to its working life and make this a unique piece with real industrial character.
The bulb fitted in the photos is a 4.5W LED spiral filament G95 type with an ES (E27) fitting and will be supplied with the blowlamp. 6 feet/1.8 metres of luxury black braided 3 core flex with a black inline switch and black plug complete this unique lamp.
