Full description
A graceful table lamp made from upcycled copper water pipe, reclaimed wood, an old ceramic pot and new electrical parts. Hand crafted in my workshop to a flower shape loosely inspired by a daffodil. All the copper parts, stem, leaves and petals were once water pipe, cut and beaten into the shape of the flower and soldered together in the traditional way. The two brass bushes at either end of the stem are my own design, turned from solid on my lathe with threads to accept the electrical hardware. The bulb is a 2w SES LED squirrel cage type, selected for decorative effect.
The copper and brass have been given a polish to make them shine though I have left some hammer markings, solder and discolouration for effect. The lamp is mounted on a base made from French polished reclaimed timber and a ceramic flowerpot. It stands on four felt pads to protect your furniture.
