The intricate moulding and beautiful green glass of this bottle meant to me that it was crying out to be lit from inside. I now have a method of doing this and the result is a striking lamp which would grace any space but most especially a bar.

My gin bottle table lamp would make a stunning themed addition to any bar area, just the thing for some mood lighting. It’s not just green, it’s made from (mostly) discarded materials and uses a 4-Watt SES LED bulb which just sips the power so it’s also, er, green…
I have drilled the base of the bottle and the bulb is fitted inside, lighting up the moulded green glass beautifully. The lamp is firmly held together on a reclaimed wood base which has been sanded and Danish oiled. Power is supplied through 6 feet/1.8 metres of white flex fitted with a white inline switch and white 3-amp fused UK plug. As always from Steampunk Creative Engineering, all electrical components are brand new and the unit is safety tested and certified UKCA compliant.
