I was given some old golf clubs and was scratching my head for how to use them, then I saw some LED “golf ball” bulbs whilst out shopping. An idea started to form with the addition of a touch dimming switch and when I thought of artificial grass, it really took root!

Full description
An ideal gift for the keen golfer, this touch dimmed bedside lamp will let them sleep golf too! I’ve named it “In the Rough”. Made from the business end of a 58-degree wedge golf club with a “golf ball” lamp set in a patch of longish artificial grass on a reclaimed wood base which conceals the electricals to make it work. Touch the metal golf club to switch on and dim the cool white 4.2-Watt SES LED bulb. The wooden base is made from an old floorboard from a 1930s house, I have cleaned and sanded it but left some marks to show its 80 plus years before giving it several coats of Danish oil to enhance and protect it.
Power is supplied through 6 feet/1.8 metres of black fabric braided flex fitted with a black 3-amp fused UK plug. As always from Steampunk Creative Engineering, all electrical components are brand new and the unit is safety tested and certified UKCA compliant.
