Full description
A striking table lamp, made from repurposed copper water pipe, which combines contemporary, industrial and steampunk styles. I have formed a heart shape from 22mm copper pipe, secured it to a wooden base and fitted a new brass ES lampholder to hold a Four Watt LED globe lamp with its filament in the shape of the word ‘love’ in the heart. This reflects light from the polished copper to form an attractive effect.
All joints in the copper pipework are soldered together so there may be some surplus solder around the joints and as the copper pipe is reclaimed it comes with some marks from its previous life. Once soldering was finished, the wiring was run through the pipework. The lamp is secured onto a base made from reclaimed wood which I have sanded, stained and French polished to give a nice sheen, it has an integral toggle switch and stands on four felt pads to protect your furniture. Power is supplied through 6 feet/1.8 metres of luxury Italian made black braided flex with a black British plug with the correct 3a-amp fuse.
