Hi there and welcome to my shop. Here you will find old embroideries, vintage fabrics and sparkling remnants made into something pretty and practical once again. I re-stock slowly but surely, so do keep coming back for a browse.
As I try to recycle where I can, your order will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard.

I bought this vintage textile one morning at the car boot sale. I love its old fashioned faded feel, and its botanical style drawings. I have used it to make a fresh new set of bags, just in time to be included in The Folksy Drop event.

Full description
This practical little make up bag could also store small amounts of toiletries for a weekend away. Made from a pretty Summer vintage textile, its geraniums and roses are drawn in a lovely botanical style. It has a slightly crinkled surface and a nostalgic faded feel. It would make a great present for a lover of vintage textiles, for taking away on summer hols or as a present for Mum.
A bag fresh in for The Folksy drop event!
The fabric has been backed onto canvas to give it some body.
It measures 22 cm across, widening slightly towards the base, and the height is 15 cm.
There is a 22 cm pink zip fastening with a flower head pull, and a boxed base to give a little more room. On the front is a scattering of vintage buttons.
The bag has a different pattern placement of the same design on the front and back, and it is lined with a bold striped cotton.
There is hook to hang it up and admire the print, and the bag is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
Please note that the fabric placement and the buttons will vary from bag to bag. Still the same beautiful fabric though.
Please wash on a short, cool cycle and leave to dry naturally.
I like to recycle where I can. Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging and sent by Royal Mail 2nd class.
