Full description
A quirky industrial/automotive themed table lamp made from a used 4-mix cylinder mounted on a base made from a piece of salvaged wood.
The cylinder, from a commercial grade KM130 Combi by a well-respected German manufacturer has been cleaned up before I painted it matt black. I’ve cleaned the paint back off a few areas to provide some contrast. I then mounted it onto a reclaimed wood base and fitted a nickel-plated ES (E27) lampholder with a decorative and economical 3-Watt ‘squirrel cage’ LED bulb. The salvaged wood base is sanded and French polished to give a lustrous satin finish. Power is supplied through 6 feet/1.8 metres of unobtrusive black flex with a black inline switch and black 3 pin plug.
