Hares abound in the countryside if you are fortunate enough to travel the country lanes through March to late summer you can spot them out and about. I adore seeing these beautiful creatures in their habitat and had a couple of close encounters which just adds to the magic of creating them. I love using this turquoise slip to bring the hare alive each stroke is hand drawn, they are a real labour of love to create. Using different parts of nature in each one makes them unique & adding the fungi this time beside the hare nestling in the grass was just the right touch. They look stunning on the wall or resting against something, just make sure it cannot be disturbed.

All my ceramic pieces are packaged very carefully and deeply to avoid mishaps, although I try my end to make the package as secure as possible in transit I have no control over how it is handled. The cost of postage reflects this and also provides both yourself and me with insurance should anything happen to the piece whilst in transit. Posting is always first class and tracked, thank you.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This beautiful ceramic Hare is hand cut from a figure of a real hare from a photograph (allowed by the photographer) and carved from slip. Each stroke is by free hand and the design is my own, with a touch of Fungi love with the Fly agaric & Inky death cap nestled beside the hare in the grass. The surface area is tactile to touch as the carving creates a raised feel to it adding to the whole piece. Three stars and a spiral are also present connecting the design together, this piece is approx 32cm long x 14cm high at its highest point. This is not frost proof so should not be hung outside, a hook is attached on the back for hanging. Alternatively it can sit in a plate stand (make sure it is a strong one) or against a wall as long as it is not disturbed.
