Late Summer turns to early Autumn and the Hares are lounging in the fields soaking up the last heat of the sun before they need to turn into their burrows, here they lay amongst a crop of Amanita muscaria mushrooms brushing up against their fur. Nature is a wonderful inspiring place for myself as an artist, I love walking around my village and seeing the Hares in this very pose, although they don't stay for long, skittish as ever they run fast away. The magical hare is steeped in folklore with sacred and mystic associations often linked to the moon and magical rituals.

Full description
Ceramic flat hare cut and created from a slab of clay and covered in a turquoise slip. The design and flow of the hare and theme is then cut intuitively and allowed to dry then fired at 1060 degrees, which afterwards it is fired again with a transparent glaze over to allow for durability. This is not frost proof so cannot be placed outside. Approx measurements are 13" L x 5.5" H, there are two hooks on the back for a stable hang with cotton cord.
