I was staying near the Cornish coast in an old cottage and walking along the cliff paths every day with my paint box. The view of the Brisons changed a lot according to the weather but on a calmer, clearer day I could make out their craggy shapes quite well, along with swirling waves flowing around the rocks nearer to the shore. I decided to sit by the path on the mossy grass and paint this view with the sounds and scents of the sea all around me.

Full description
This painting measures 15cm by 20cm, or 6x8 inches, and was created 'en plein air' on the side of a cliff in Cornwall. It is painted on canvas which I taped around a board and removed later at home. The photo shows the complete canvas which I will stretch around wooden bars before sending. I have added photos of a similar stretched painting to show what this one will look like when you receive it.
The Brisons are the distinctive rocky peaks of a tiny island off the Cornish coast near Cape Cornwall. They are not always clearly visible like this, being shrouded in mist some of the time.
The painting can be displayed without a frame or you could choose to frame it simply without glass.
