Full description
This vibrant glass gingerbread house was made from a layer of hand cut brown glass, fused to a clear glass base. It was hand decorated with glass paint to create the door and windows. It was fused into one piece in a specialist kiln over a 12 hour firing to 800 degrees Celsius. Once cooled, the snow, candy canes and decorative accents (all handmade) were added before being fired again to fix to the house base. The final part was to fix a glass tea light candle holder to the back to allow it to stand as a decorative festive feature.
This piece measures approximately 11cm wide, 10.5cm high and 5.5cm deep.
