About this item
This fused glass gingerbread lady has been made using hand crushed brown glass which was fired to 800 degrees Celsius in a specialist kiln. The shape was formed by containing the crushed glass in a simple stainless steel cookie cutter. After 13 hours of firing and cooling, the blank form was hand painted and decorated with glass embellishments such as necklace, buttons and the bow. It was then returned to the kiln and fired again to 750 degrees Celsius to fix these decorations permanently. Once cooled, a jewellery bail was glued on to hold a satin ribbon to allow you to hang this decoration in your home. She stands approximately 9.5 cm tall and 6cm wide. It's perfect as a secret Santa gift! Postage is included within the UK.
