Full description
A tote bag in dark blue upholstery fabric with an appliqué scene depicting a mushroom house and two smaller mushrooms. The mushroom tops are made from luxurious bright blue velvet with a textured pattern which catches the light and gives a lovely sheen. The stems are cream with a textured pattern and slight sheen. The house has a blue arched door with a pattern of white ditsy flowers and leaves. The door handle is a dark blue French knot. There are black arched windows with pale beige frames and quarter-detailing. I’ve added some machine embroidered pale yellow-green climbing, twining stems to the front of the house. I’ve also added two lengths of eyelash yarn which I’ve free-motion embroidered in place. The yarn is variegated in lovely shades of blue, white and yellow-green, and represents grass in the front of the scene. The bag is lined with cream velvety fabric, which has the appearance of suede.
This lovely and versatile tote bag could be used for a variety of occasions. With its delightful and unique appliqué design, it would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves fairy houses.
