I had seen the bulbs with script filaments on sale and was inspired to make a statement lamp to go with the statement in the bulb!

Full description
A statement table lamp, made from repurposed copper water pipe, which combines contemporary, industrial and steampunk styles. I have grafted two tee pieces into an 80cm diameter hoop made from 22mm copper water pipe, secured it to a wooden base and fitted a new solid brass lampholder to hold a Two Watt LED globe lamp with a script filament in the shape of the word ‘Love’ in the centre of the hoop. This reflects the light from the polished copper to form an attractive halo effect.
All joints in the copper pipework are soldered together in the traditional way (no cheating with glue) so there may be some surplus solder around the joints and as the copper pipe is reclaimed it comes with some small dents from its previous life. Once soldering was finished, the wiring was run through the pipework. The lamp is secured onto a base made from reclaimed scaffold plank which I have sanded and French polished to give a nice sheen, it has an integral toggle switch and stands on four felt pads to protect your furniture.
