As soon as I saw this corroded old garden sprayer for sale, I knew that it would clean up and convert to a beautiful table lamp with bags of vintage charm.

Full description
A vintage brass syringe type garden sprayer repurposed into a beautiful, decorative table lamp. If you are interested, I have a walkthrough of the making of this lamp on the About page of my website. Originally made in the 1940s or 50s in Birmingham by W.T. French and Son. When I got it, it had the build-up of grime that you might expect for 70 years in a shed! I have cleaned and polished the brass body and fittings to gleam before carefully converting it into the lamp you see pictured, running the wiring up through the body and using only quality new electrical parts for safety. The base is made from an offcut of a rough sawn oak plank which I planed, sanded and French polished to give a lovely finish and mounted a toggle switch for the lamp into it.
The bulb fitted in the photos is a 4.5w spiral filament LED G80 globe with an ES (E27) fitting and will be supplied with the lamp. Two metres of black period look braided 3 core flex fitted with black plug with the correct 3 amp fuse complete the lamp.
