These old Tilley lamps polish up beautifully to made great decorative lamps with a look that can be farmhouse, industrial or steampunk all in one!

Full description
A vintage Tilley X246-B paraffin lamp, expertly converted to mains electrical operation using new electrical components, retaining the look and feel of the original. A brass BC lampholder is fitted onto the original valve to hold a warm white G80 spiral filament LED bulb where the original mantle would have been.
This lamp is stamped October 1973 and had a painted paraffin tank which I have stripped back to the brass and polished to a lovely see-your-face shine. It is in reasonable condition for a vintage Tilley lamp, with some minor dents in the tank, a little rust on the chrome wire of the cage and the black enamel top louvre cover has been painted at some stage, see the photos. This gives the completed conversion a lovely patina that comes only with age and use, which will really transport the rustic farmhouse/country cottage feel straight into your home.
