This machine embroidered fabric was such an unusual find. Possibly made as a furniture throw, it has a charming folk art pattern of geometric flowers and patterns. Perfect for a set of little padded bags.

Full description
This upcycled and embroidered padded zip up bag, is perfect for make up and storing more delicate items. Its light padding gives it some protection, making it useful for storing jewellery, specs or as a suitcase organiser. It is made from a charming piece of upcycled machine embroidered calico with a folk art feel, which I bought from the York car boot in the summer. By stitching over the embroidered patterns and adding some wadding, I was able to give it a some added body. It would make a lovely spring weekend bag, as a travel bag for jewellery or as a mothers day present.
The embroidered fabric has been backed onto canvas and lightly padded with polyester wadding. There is a useful finger hook which you can also use to hang this up and admire the embroidery.
It is 22 cm at the top edge, widening to 24 cm at the bottom, and finished with my own embroidered label.
It is 16 cm tall, with a 22 cm red zip
The ends are boxed to make it a little more roomy, and it is lined with a striped cotton.
Please wash on a cool short cycle, and pull to shape whilst damp.
Your bag will be posted out using clean, recycled packaging and sent as RM 2nd class.
