This is another of my simple copper and silver pieces, I got very carried away with these as they are such fun to do, different weights of silver, different directions to lay it on, different results from melting it. Who wouldn't want to go on playing? There is a similar piece to this but the curve is different. Even if I had tried to repeat the other piece exactly it would have looked different, they always do.

Full description
An eccentric heart shaped copper pendant with a heavy line of silver wire fused to it's surface.
The pendant hangs from the larger lobe of of the heart and the silver wire runs down from just below the hanging point to just above the point of the heart and continues over the edge a little way. As the heart hangs with it's point off to the left, the silver provides a little counterpoint on the right, echoing the curve down the heart.
As the silver melts and fuses it leaves a trail either side of the wire, on this occasion this has created a nice smooth ripple or frill effect.
The pendant is cleaned and polished to remove the firescale and then slightly domed and manipulated to give more life to a flat shape. It is then gently reheated to give a slight patina, this one has only really coloured on the smaller lobe of the heart, the way the copper reacts to heat is variable from one piece to the next and unpredictable.
The heart measures approximately 3.5cm/1 1/2" long at it's longest measurement and about 2.5cm 1" wide at it's widest.
The pendant hangs, by a copper jump ring, from a narrow, brown leather thong which is adjustable for length. It can be adjusted from choker length to around mid chest.
