Full description
A quirky and unique chainsaw themed table lamp and clock combination made with a used chainsaw cylinder, bar and chain, mounted on a base made from a piece of hardwood log.
The cylinder, from a commercial grade saw by a well-known German manufacturer, has been cleaned and painted, with a nickel-plated SES lampholder fitted. I mounted the assembly onto a kiln dried split hardwood log which has been smoothed and French polished to protect and preserve. Power is supplied through over 2 metres of inconspicuous black flex with a black inline switch and black 3 pin plug. The bulb I have selected, which will be supplied with the lamp, is a 2 Watt LED squirrel cage candle style which is very economical to run and very decorative without being too bright.
The clock is a virtually silent quartz sweep movement fitted to a polished cut-down chainsaw bar with a length of saw chain with the cutting edges ground off welded on.
