PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting things that have been discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Oyster Shell discovered
Victorian Dump,
Nr Barnard Castle
October 2022
Re-Created into Hanging Decoration November 2022
I love collecting anything that’s broken, lost or found by chance. There is a small patch of ground beside the River Tees that gets drenched during heavy rains. The downpours expose all sorts of broken pot, glass, bits of pipes and wonderful oyster shells. The shells all sorts of sizes and condition, a part of the past, a common meal.
Over the years I’ve collected many oyster shells, all from deposits of household crushed ceramics and have decided to make them into hanging decorations. Each one unique. I’ve smoothed edges, drilled a hole and sealed the shells to preserve. Some are sealed with a non toxic gloss finish to highlight the colours and shapes. Others are coated with a non toxic matt finish to allow a more natural feeling.
This old oyster shell is sealed with a gloss finish.
Full of history, a unique hanging decoration.
Measures approximately 65mm x 60mm (widest) x 4mm (widest)
Non Toxic Gloss sealed front and back.
Hanging on 50cm drop recycled twine, delivered in a gift box, gift bag and short bio, made from recycled materials.
Designed by Stephanie in Barnard Castle
