PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance, full of history and character. To present and deliver unique Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted gifts using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final piece, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Re-Worked into Pendant
September 2024
I visited Hexham in July 2024, beautiful sunny day, while walking beside The River Tyne I came across some shards of ceramic. One piece really stood out, brown and white pattern, a fragment of a plate.
After a thorough clean I stored the shard and came across it a couple months later. I don’t plan what to make from material found, instead allow it to shape as I work. The piece was thick and had part of the plate ridge on the back. I use a rotary tool to knock off any sharp edges and then sanded by hand creating a pendant. Sides and back smooth sealed with Eco Friendly matte sealant. Front glaze in tact. I completely removed the ridge but you can still see where it was on the back, I particularly like the mark it has left, part of it’s original design.
Delivered in gift box made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
Pendant measures approximately 29mm x 22mm (widest) x 5mm.
Hanging on woven cord, 44cm plus 5cm extender.
Delivered in gift box made with recycled materials and comes with short bio.
