When making my other upcycled jar lamps, the thought came to me that these are about the right size to fit in a plastic drainpipe, I tried one and it fitted nicely so I went out and bought some new drainpipe and started experimenting, you see the result here. Watch out for matching floor and wall lamps too – and a line of the same in white!

Full description
A quirky upcycled table lamp made using a used glass jar, originally containing bockwurst sausages, mounted on a post made from (new) repurposed downpipe and a base made from salvaged timber offcuts.
The jar has been thoroughly cleaned and a black resin small Edison screw (SES, E14) lampholder fitted inside holding a 4.4 Watt LED candle bulb. These LED bulbs are very economical to run and give off very little heat so are suitable for an enclosed space like this. I have mounted the jar upside-down onto a post made from a length of drainpipe fitted to a base of black painted reclaimed timber. Power is supplied through over 2 metres of inconspicuous black flex fitted with a black inline switch and black 3 pin plug with the correct 3A rated fuse.
