This project grew in the making, I originally bought the drill for its gears but it was just too nice as a unit, so I found a base, joined them together and fabricated the lamp unit in an industrial style to fit

Full description
A unique Industrial/Steampunk themed decorative floor lamp made from a late 19th Century/Early 20th century belt driven or hand cranked factory drill press. A statement piece that shouts Industrial from the rooftops! This lamp will be the absolute centre of attention in your room!
The original drill press has been stripped down completely, renovated, given a coat of dark green paint and the seized parts freed up so that it works, even the cam operated downward feed mechanism works. The original drill table, which is adjustable, will make a useful small table or plant stand. I have sourced and secured a later base to the drill unit and made an industrial style galvanised conduit lamp which is bolted to the rear of the drill press so that the lamp hangs over the top creating wonderful shadows in the gears of the mechanism; the overall effect is absolutely stunning and nobody else has one like it.
