I love seeing how things work and this used 4 stroke cylinder and head casting from a big leaf blower has interest aplenty in its workings. The bulb really suits the look of the finished lamp - look at those shadows on the red wall in the last 4 photos.

Full description
A quirky and unique industrial automotive themed table lamp made using a used leaf blower cylinder mounted on a base made from a piece of salvaged wood.
The cylinder, from a commercial grade ‘backpack’ leaf blower by a well-respected German manufacturer has the covers for the valve rockers and cam left off for interest. It has been cleaned and mounted on a reclaimed wood base which I’ve lightly sanded to preserve the patina and French polished. I’ve fitted a nickel-plated Edison screw (ES, E27) lampholder in the spark plug port with a very decorative and well suited 4-watt LED mesh caged bulb. Power is supplied through 2.5 metres of decorative, braided silver flex with a black inline switch and black 3 pin plug.
