I recently attended a glass fusing workshop at a local art studio. I had made items before but always in a rather prescriptive workshop. This lady was open to any ideas I had and found me some lighter glass in order to make pieces I could bead around. I really enjoyed myself and came back with several pieces I can work with. I'm going again at the end of this month so there will be more!

Full description
A small piece of abstract, rectangular, fused glass with a beaded mount around it. The glass is clear with pale blue strokes and dots and a variegated section of opaque, dark blue across the lower edge. The glass is mounted in rows of glass beads in shades of blue and one row of metallic, irridescent, green-blue.
Once the mount is complete the pendant has a piece of thin aluminium fixed to the back to support the silver brooch pin, then a final layer of white leather is glued on top. The edges are then finished, a row of mid blue beads cover the raw edges and then vintage, clear blue, bicone crystals are added all around the edge, these are mostly pale turquoise with a few darker shades of blue mixed in. Each bicone bead has a tiny irridescent seed bead at the top and bottom.
This piece can be worn as a dramatic pendant or as a brooch. A small tube of seed beads is sewn below the edge, at the back, to allow the silver torc necklace to be threaded.
Dramatic and unique this piece would look great with a summer dress or worn on a coat or jacket as a brooch.
All my silver is recycled.
the pendant measures approximately 5cm (2") tall and 4cm wide. The silver torc is 45cm long.
