Full description
This is Bee 214 Andrena tridentata or Female Pale-tailed Mining Bee. I particularly like this one. It’s strange when you make art to have favourites, but this is one of mine - I love the wings which are so ‘textiley’ and not ‘wingy’ at all but it works.
I think it’s because I really loved working on this bee.. Sometimes, when I’m working on a bee, the hands take over from the logical mind and something lovely happens - like with these wings. So pleased with how they worked out.
