THis little hare comes from a piece of silver cut from the crescent moon earrings elsewhere in my shop, it was going to be a pair of earrings but the other one lost part of his back leg while I was filing the edge. I'm very pleased with him, he took a while to get done but I think he's lovely and gave me a use for an old chain and the tiny moonstone pendant. They both used to hang around the neck of a doll I made years ago, she no longer exists sadly, damp got her!

Full description
A small silver pendant, made from an offcut of reticulated silver (Sterling silver, unhallmarked). Cut into a vague hare shape and with fine engraved lines to indicate legs and ears. He has a little liver of sulphur applied to give more definition to the engraving, this is then polished back to leave the rest silver. A loop of silver wire is soldered to the top of his ears and the hare is then hung from a silver jumpring onto a fine silver trace chain. This chain is quite old and is being re-used. Hanging below the hare is a very small moonstone cabochon mounted in silver, this hangs from a short length of eco silver wire with a loop soldered at each end and hung from the chain, the wire is fine enough to sit behind the hare.
The hare measures approximately 2.5cm from nose to back foot and approximately 1cm from bottom to the top of the loop. The moonstone is 9mm x 6mm and from the top of the loop on the chain to the bottom of the stone is 2.5cm. Then chain is 45cm including fastener, which is a bolt ring and loop.
Delicate and pretty, almost abstract in design this would make a lovely gift for anyone.
