Hedgehogs, an ancient, Woodland creature, loved by many, surrounded in Myths and Folklore, sadly declining in numbers, but helped by many dedicated individuals and organizations.
Over many years, I have sculpted Hedgehogs and other animals, in various sizes for indoors and outdoors.
This Hedgehog is frost resistant, making it suitable for outdoors, but equally happy indoors, bringing a bit of nature into your home.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
These Ceramic Hedgehogs have been hand modeled, using stoneware clay, textured using pottery tools and found items such as stones and crumpled foil.
Two large pinch pots have been hand formed, joined together and after further modeling, the basic shape of the Hedgehog is then created, with further textures being added as the Woodland Creature begins to dry.
After careful drying, the animal sculpture is placed in the kiln for an initial firing, before being painted and stained with various oxides and richly coloured stoneware glazes to enhance the form, define facial features and convey a feeling of contrast between the softer area around the face and the harder spikier texture of the body.
They have also been fired to a high frost proof temperature making them suitable for outdoors but just as attractive displayed indoors. They are also made hollow, but have a pleasing weight to them, with a mix of glossy and satin surface texture to touch.
Fully signed as in the image also showing a small air hole that is necessary during firing to let the heated air escape during the high temperatoure firing.
These Garden Hedgehogs are approx 22 cm in length, approx 10 cm in height and approx 14 cm in width at it's widest point.
All these Garden Hedgehogs are similair with only very slight variations between each one.
