PLEASE NOTE
I AM UPDATING PRODUCT BOXES FOR JEWELLERY AND DECORATIONS WHICH WILL TAKE AWHILE, IF YOU PURCHASE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER IN THE NEW BOXES AS DESCRIBED BELOW.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
I love collecting discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. My favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-created into something new. Bits and bobs of lives all waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Created from ceramic plate discovered July 2020
Re-Created into Earrings August 2021
Blue & White Collection
BW1
In July 2020 I bought a box of broken ceramics from the recycling centre in Barnard Castle, Co Durham. It was filled with plates perfect for trying out new ideas. A lot of the plates were blue and white with similar patterns and flowers, perfect for creating a distinctive collection of jewellery.
I clipped the plates with a small tile cutter and allowed shapes to form naturally. A lot of shards were created, all sorts of sizes and thickness. Although at first glance the pieces look a like none are the same, the way the ceramic has broken and fragmented the design creates individual unique shards.
These earrings are made from shards from the rim of one of the blue and white plates. The glaze is in tact, they are alike in shape and come from the same area of the plate.
Lovely unique dangly earrings, sterling silver 925 fish hooks, the jump rings are stainless steel – the jumps rings need to be a strong metal to be able to go through the thickness of ceramic, sterling silver is too soft.
Size approximately 15mm x 13mm x 4mm
