One dark and wet winter evening, I was invited to a fabric sale in an interiors design shop in York. This small remnant by Harlequin, with just enough for two bags, was one of the beautiful pieces I bought that night. At the time, spring seemed a long way off!

Full description
This practical little shoulder bag or handbag is made out of a wonderful designer fabric remnant. It has a lovely loose painterly style, featuring the tips of foxgloves, petals and leaves, and all the joys of spring. Designed in a striking yellow and green colour combination, it stands out from the crowd! It has two straps, as well as an internal pocket for the flotsam and jetsam of your life. It is large enough to carry all your essentials with style, fits neatly under your arm, and closes with a satisfying chunky zip. It would make a great present for a spring birthday, perhaps for a painter? or as a present for Mum.
The fabric is first stitched onto canvas to give it some body, but it is still a soft little bag.
It measures 27 cm along the top, widening to 30 cm along the base.
The height is 23 cm and the base is boxed to make it more roomy.
There is a beige chunky zip opening of 27 cm and two shoulder straps measuring 70 cm each.
There is an internal pocket measuring 12 cm by 14 cm, so you need never rummage for your keys again, and the bag is lined with old skool black and white ticking fabric.
It is finished off with my own embroidered name tag.
I like to reuse as much as possible. Your bag will arrive wrapped in clean, recycled packaging from my hoard, and posted out as signed for 2nd class Royal Mail, requiring a signature on arrival.
