Judy Adams Ceramics will be closed from Friday May 10th until Saturday May 18th as I'm on holiday! I'll get back to the clay as soon as I return...
The Lucienne Collection is named after the textile designer Lucienne Day whose work in the 1950s influenced a wide area of design. Her textile ‘Calyx’ was created for the Festival of Britain in 1951 and is still much admired today. She explored many design sources, but my Lucienne Day favourites, such as Calyx, are from the natural world. My own designs feature bands of colour, plus motifs inspired by the furrows of ploughed fields, grasses, cow parsley, and rural fencing.
