INTERNATIONAL POST - I'm in the process of updating postage for the US and have temporarily removed it from my listings whilst I recalculate the prices to include the new taxes and handling fees which have to be paid prior to my items entering the US. If you are based in the US and wish to purchase something please send me a message and I will happily send you a quote and add the postage and charges back on to the item.

A beautiful and delicate hand embroidered pin cushion, unique design pincushion created by Bearlescent
This listing is for a cupcake style pincushion.
Delicate hand embroidery in pale pinks and naturals onto natural silk noil fabric. I have hand embroidered flowers and blossom in very soft pinks using 1 and 2 strands from 6 stranded dmc threads.
A soft green trail runs around the pincushion which was sewn using 1 strand of thread. Various stitches have been used to give texture and interest,
A beautiful heritage style which would make a lovely keepsake gift.
The embroidered silk top is backed with cotton fabric which has been laced to fit over a cotton form which was very firmly filled with super polyester filling. Over 15 metres of top stitch thread is used to lace the form and embroidery into place pulling tightly to remove as much gathering as possible. This is then fixed into a wooden bowl which has been coated in clear varnish.
Natural Cotton crochet lace is glued around the top edge of the bowl and a soft pink ribbon bow completes it.
The completed pincushion is in a 4" diameter bowl.
This would make a lovely heirloom gift for someone who loves to sew, they have also been a ordered by some or my bear customers to use as Teddy Bear birthday cakes or huge muffins! also as purely ornamental pieces.
