Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're after unique and quirky toys and gifts I hope you'll find something you like. I only charge postage on the first item, as a way of thanking those who buy more from my small handmade business.
Thanks for your support that helps me buy more materials so I can carry on doing what I love!
Happy shopping, Jane :)
These crocheted earrings are made from two matching granny squares attached to fish hook style nickel free metal ear wires.
Each granny square is approx. 20mm wide and is made from 100% mercerised crochet cotton in two shades of green, made with a tiny 1.5mm hook.
These would make a lovely gift for a crocheter or someone who likes 1970’s retro fashion, or who is a fan of fun and quirky handmade jewellery.
After making a tiny granny square crochet keyring , someone commented that if I had two squares I could make a funky pair of earrings – so that’s what I’ve done!
It’s quite a challenge for my eyesight crocheting with such a little hook but I love the idea of using a stich that is usually associated with chunky blankets and making something so small instead. I had a real sense of achievement when I finished them.
