Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

My daughter described the kind of bag she wants to use in the Summer or on holiday - big enough for a few essentials, in a pretty colour to coordinate with outfits, and with an adjustable strap so that it can be worn in different ways. Inspired by a design from hookedonpatterns.com I adapted the pattern to incorporate the features she asked for!

Full description
This cute little bag is big enough to hold your phone and make-up essentials and has a handy pocket on the back to keep your bank card safe but accessible. It is hand crocheted from a premium quality braided cord in a eucalyptus green colour. The fold over flap has a scalloped edge and is fastened with a floral wooden button. The button is neatly hand stitched to the bag with green polyester thread for strength.
The bottom edge of the bag is seamless and the sides of the bag are crocheted together to make firm and secure edges. The back pocket is crocheted onto the main body of the bag, leaving just the top opening for your card which can fit entirely inside the pocket out of sight, but be easily accessed when needed.
The cream faux leather strap attaches to each side of the bag with metal swivel lobster clasps. The strap is fully adjustable with a buckle. At its shortest length it is approximately 60cm, perfect for carrying over your shoulder. Its longest length is approximately 120cm, long enough to be used as a crossbody bag to keep your bag secure and your arms free when out and about.
Dimensions: The bag is approximately15 cm wide and 17cm deep. The bag flap measures 11cm at its longest point. The back pocket measures approximately 8cm x 10cm at its outer edges.
Care instructions: I recommend using a damp cloth for a gentle surface clean. The bag may be hand washed with care at a cool temperature, after removing the strap. Do not tumble dry.
